In 2015 Embodiment Project in partnership with ODC Dance School founded Seeds youth company, engaging 16 Bay Area students ages 14 to 18.  The Seeds program uses street dance as a cultural medicine to break through barriers and build resilience for local high schoolers. Through after-school workshops, dance classes, field trips and performance opportunities, as well as mentor/mentee attendance at Bay Area street dance events, movement is leveraged as a vehicle to speak truth, provoke discussion and raise awareness of systemic injustice experienced first-hand by youth in San Francisco.
