Residencies

We believe that relationships are the lifeblood of culture and the foundation upon which our work can thrive.

We are always excited to participate in residencies and retreats that expand our perspectives on movement, embodiment, and culturally rooted performance practices. These immersive experiences deepen our collective inquiry and continue to inform our evolving creative journey.

Francis C.’s reflections on the latest residency at the Ahimsa Collective in Santa Cruz:

“Such a joy working with my kindred of Embodiment Project at the Ahimsa Collective Healing Justice Center developing our next production, The Cosmic Joke! In an intensive week of creativity, we straddled the lines of life and death and rode it into the cosmos of humor. I had the honor of building the movement story of a character who learns to understand the value of their own life. This piece invited inquiry into what it means to support healing transformation during a time of polycrisis, digging down to the roots of conflict stemming from our own hearts."
