House of Matter features original music composed and performed by Valerie Troutt’s 14-piece band, MoonCandy, along with guest performances by acclaimed multi-hyphenated Gina Breedlove and d. Sabela Grimes. A study of intimacy and the body as both home and house to the spirit, the work explores belonging, identity, and vulnerability through autobiographical performance and the reclamation of silenced narratives.
